EXAKTA VAREX VX - Body Only - 35 mm SLR - w/ Leather Case.
Condition: "Used/Vintage" - sold as is, but appears fully operational.
Serial Number = VX-722641
Operating Condition
: Shutter operates smoothly and correctly through all speeds (1/25 - 1/1000). Film winder operates normally. Mirror is completely clean and functioning normally. Curtain operational and free of mold and fungus. Image through the prism is very bright - with very little dust evident through the viewfinder.
Cosmetic Condition
: very good+ for a camera made in the 1950s. Note some very minor scuffing and paint scratching; two cosmetic dings evident on the prism insert (see photo #7). Leather cladding is intact and in fantastic shape. Leather camera case included - previous owner printed his last name and phone number inside the case.
Interesting fact:
This is the model camera that Jimmy Stewart used in the Hitchcock film "Rear Window" (1954). Note that in the movie, black tape was placed over the camera brand name. Here's a link, if you're curious:
