vintage component is in good overall condition
with superficial dings, scratches, scuffs, etc.  It is fully functional in all aspects of its design.

he original manufacturer of this hardware is most likely
Walberg & Auge
.
This company made a great many
components
found on products sold by
Ludwig,
Gretsch
,
Slingerland,
Leedy,
etc.
The wing nut appears consistent with
Ludwig
hardware from the snare strainer adjustment mechanism
used on
1920s Era
"Separate Tension" Drum Corps and Band
model
drums
.  This is a
tentative identification
based upon a review of
Ludwig's
1927
catalog.
Please note that the condition of the original catalog scans reviewed and commonality of
W&A
components from the time period make it difficult to be 100%
certain about the origins of this part.
