    Minolta Maxxum 7000 (1984)
CONDITION: Camera is almost 30 years old and has been stored away neatly for most of these years. Used, yet in very good condition. Missing front lens cap. Minor wear/scuffs common from normal use. Works great and ready to shoot upon delivery. Includes new batteries and original owner's manual.
The Minolta MAXXUM 7000 (7000 AF in Europe) 35mm SLR camera was introduced in 1985. It was the first camera to feature both integrated autofocus (AF) and motorised film advance, the standard configuration for later amateur and professional single lens reflex cameras.
The Maxxum 7000 is a great autofocus camera for both the beginner and intermediate photographer. In "Program" mode, it is as simple to use as a "point and shoot" camera, yet has the flexibility of Maxxum's interchangeable lens system. To expand your creative control, you can select "Aperture-priority" mode (to control background blur), "Shutter-priority" mode (action pictures) or go completely manual and control both functions. The camera beeps if you are at risk of taking a blurry picture (due to a slow shutter speed) and also to let you know you are in focus. As well, the unit gives visual cues if exposure or focus are out of range. It's pretty hard to take a bad picture with this camera!

    Minolta AF 35-70mm f/4 Zoom Lens (1984)
CONDITION: Lens is almost 30 years old and has been stored away neatly for most of these years.
Light wear/scuffs on exterior body, common from normal use. No damage to lens glass and no molds.
Otherwise in very good condition. Includes a replacement frontal lens cap w/ leash. Missing rear lens cap. Original owner's manual is also included.
The Minolta AF 35-70mm F/4 was extremely popular with Maxxum film camera users, and sold like hotcakes in the mid-to-late 1980s. This particular lens was purchased in 1985, along with the Maxxum 7000 film camera. It was a "kit" lens. Made in Japan. Many people claim this was one of the very first lenses that used a "hybrid" aspherical element, meaning plastic and glass permanently bonded together, instead of an all glass aspherical element, which was very expensive back in the day. This wide telephoto zoom is very short and light, even when extended out. It also extends fully at the wide end, 35mm which is a bit unusual, most lenses are just the opposite. It has a constant fast aperture of F/4. Currently, Sony has no equivalent lens. It has a focus distance window along with three red infra-red focus index marks at 70mm, 50mm, and 35mm, you don't see this much anymore. The lens is multi-coated and has the typical older-style magenta cast. Auto-focusing is quick and accurate.
