Batteries are not included. Battery compartment chamber is clean.
Made in Japan Body and Lens.
Camera has not been professionally serviced. Servicing by a professional may be needed for optimal performance and conservation of this fine Nikon camera.

The following basic functions have been tested. Advanced features have not been tested for accuracy.
Door latch / open close. (bottom o/c) key style lever. See video works.
Battery chamber. (Clean) No problem unscrewing or inserting battery. (battery recognized by DP-1)
Film winding knob. Works.
Shutter and film advance lever. Works.
Self-timer / shutter release. Works. See video
Frame counter. Works
Battery check function in the photomic DP-1 recognizes battery.
Cosmetic flaws:
Ding to the exterior top plate towards the back. See images.
Ding / dent on the DP-1 on the top back facing left hand corner. See arrows. Scratches in the same area.
Several scratches to the body.  Scratches to the black enamel finish.
Additional Condition related notes:
Dusted and wiped with dry cloth. But not professionally service or cleaned.
I have not touched or changed the focusing screen. Some dust / debris visible on the edges and underside of the focusing screen.
Lens has been gently wiped with micro fiber cloth.
Dust in the viewinder.
Camera functional; working shutter, self timer. Battery checker in the photomic finder tested - see images. Needle moves.
Accuracy has not been tested or measured.
Auto Exposure and multiple exposure feature has NOT BEEN TESTED.

Couple of specs of dust on the interior. No visible haze or wisps of mold
No scratches to lens.
Exterior lens body shows scratches and scuffs. Missing the lens cap(s).
