These toy badges are not a cheap tin stamping, it is thick
Die Cast Metal
. Made by the Midgetoy company in the 1950's to include with their toy sets. It is Silver and has a safety pin back that snaps the pin end safely into place.
The classic six point star has small balls at the tips of the star points. This is an unusual badge because of the amount of metal used in it. Heavy duty toy Die Cast badges are few and far between. This item is characteristic of stuff in the large Dime Store merchandise finds we made.
